In this episode, I sit down with Billy, a business growth and operations expert, to uncover what really breaks when a business starts scaling. We dive into the difference between accountability and ownership, and why leaders need systems that allow them to see what’s happening across the business without becoming micromanagers.
Billy shares his approach to building repeatable systems, clear ownership and visual management, including the systems he would put in place to help take a business from $10M to $100M.
We also talk about one of the biggest challenges I face as a land developer: consultant delays, missed deadlines and the real cost of lost time.
If you want to scale your business without everything depending on you, this conversation is a must-listen

How do you go from almost nothing to a 1,400+ location global restaurant brand?
In this episode, I talk with Tim Gannon, co-founder of Outback Steakhouse. Tim breaks down the decisions that made Outback scale fast without breaking the business.
You will learn:
The simple partner rules they agreed on before they started: ownership, profit share, and who makes the final call.
Why every business needs one clear decision-maker, even when everyone has an opinion.
The growth rule they used before opening the next restaurant: a 25% return on investment.
How they chose locations using three filters: where people live, income levels, and population density.
The painful investment mistake that taught Tim what not to do.
Why Tim once walked away from a $1 million cheque to chase equity instead.
If you are building a business with partners, or planning to scale, this episode will save you years of mistakes.

I recorded this episode in New York with Daniel Johnson, founder of Daniel Johnson Group (including Immaculate Homes) and a managing partner at AI Agency Group.
Daniel’s core message is simple: stop playing with AI like it’s a gadget.
If you want to protect margins, move faster, and out-execute competitors, you need to treat AI like a real business function: an AI department that supports estimating, project management, client communication, documentation, and decision-making.
We also talk about why construction is slow to adopt tech, how to start without overwhelming your team, and the “small wins” that create immediate ROI (like turning a 15-minute email into a 2-minute task).

Joseph Michelli’s filter is simple: All business is personal. And the best investments come from leaders who combine technical expertise with genuine care.

In this episode, you’ll learn:
The one question to ask before you trust a deal:“How the money is protected if things go wrong?”Because people invest with people they trust, not just numbers.
What to look for in the person leading the deal:Track record, clear communication, transparency, and proof they can execute.
AI will not replace relationships in real estate:Tech can speed things up, but trust, empathy, and good leadership still win.
Why “belonging” increases long-term value:Buildings do not create value by themselves, communities and experiences do.

If you are looking at a new deal or choosing a developer or operator, listen to this episode before you commit capital.

In this episode, I sit down with Nadine Wellwood to discuss leadership, entrepreneurship, personal responsibility, and the future of society in an ever-changing world.
Nadine shares the inspiration behind her book Alberta Rising, her journey into politics, and the lessons she has learned about standing up for your values, embracing change, and having meaningful conversations even with those who disagree with you.
We also explore the impact of AI, the entrepreneurial mindset, and why success comes from taking ownership of your future rather than waiting for others to create it for you.
If you're an entrepreneur, leader, investor, or someone passionate about growth and making a difference, this episode is packed with insights that will challenge your thinking and inspire action.

Australia’s next massive business opportunity is hiding inside a care crisis.
Next year alone, 40,000+ Australians turn 85.
Last year, Australia added only ~1,500 new aged-care beds.
The math doesn’t work.

So what happens next:
Who fills the gap: facilities, home care, or hospital overflow?
How do we solve workforce shortages without breaking the economics?
Where does tech and AI actually create capacity, not just dashboards?

On my podcast, I sat down with an Australian healthcare entrepreneur who built a business serving hospitals, aged care providers, retirement communities, and disability services.
What’s the biggest opportunity you’re currently hesitating to pursue, and what’s stopping you?

Andre Stamm did not come from tech hype.

He came from industries where systems have to work: manufacturing, construction leadership, digital transformation, and restructuring.

So when Andre talks about AI, it is not theory. It is execution.

His simplest example is the one every business can use:

An email comes in
AI reads it and understands the request
AI searches past emails and your company knowledge base
AI drafts a reply in your style
A human reviews it before it gets sent

That last step matters: human in the loop.

Because AI does not “fix” a business.AI multiplies what is already there.

If your processes are clean, AI gives you leverage. If your processes are messy, AI gives you faster mess.

Question for you: What is one repetitive task you would eliminate first with AI?
